Lower.com

I worked at Lower.com for one year as a Staff Engineer. During that year, I helped hire a team of fantastic engineers who rebuilt the mortgage intake application at Lower. The intake application integrated with Equifax and an internal loan management tool to automate a lot of manual work that loan advisors performed when working with new customers at Lower.

Huckleberry

I worked at Huckleberry for 6 months as a Full Stack Engineer. I worked with a small team of engineers to rebuild Huckleberry's web app for processing business insurance applications. The application integrated with APIs of well-known insurance carriers like Hartford and Chubb to offer small business owners a fast, easy way to purchase insurance for their business. Over the course of 6 months, we reduced the manual effort required from the sales team while nearly tripling annual revenue.

Root Insurance

I started at Root Insurance as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, and I was promoted to Engineering Manager of the Client Productivity Team. Root Insurance is a startup that is transforming how everyday people purchase car insurance. By downloading the app, users' driving habits are evaluated. This data is used to generate a quote that is based on the risk of insuring the driver. I shipped several applications at Root including the Myles app and an application for the Japanese market. As a manager, I shipped several large changes to Root's mobile application and handled several major app upgrades for the iOS and Android platforms.
